    After the sudden death of his mother, Dzintars is tasked with taking care of her extraordinary collection of dahlias. In the solitude of the Latvian countryside, the 30-something farmer attempts to cure his loneliness through computer games and dreams about meeting up with his high-school sweetheart. As he wiles away the hours and days, the dahlias gradually perish.
